What is Digital Print?

Digital textile printing is a modern method of printing designs, patterns or images directly onto fabrics using digital technology. Digital printing utilizes specialist inkjet printers to transfer the digital designs onto fabric. The advantages over more traditional methods such as screen printing include near limitless use of colour and lower set up costs as there are no design specific pieces of hardware required to produce designs.

At William Clark & Sons, we digitally print using pigment dyes suitable for a wide variety of base cloths, printed and finished beautifully in house by our experienced team.

Our digital printing ensures we have high quality output with sharp details, vibrant colours and smooth gradients between shades. Processed inhouse through our new manufacturing site and combined with the latest digital print technology, we can offer on-demand printing or short runs with quick turnarounds. Our short print runs means that it is a more cost-effective solution than traditional textile printing methods. Another benefit of our digital fabric printing is we have the flexibility and expertise to modify any existing artwork prior to print to ensure you get the perfect finished fabric where as traditional fabric printing may be costly with set-up and plate change charges.
