Stentering
Using our newly installed Bruckner Stenter we can offer fabric finishing to 220cm width with precision control of application weight, weft straightness, temperature control and moisture management.
What is STENTERING?
Fabric stentering is a textile finishing process used to improve the dimensional stability and appearance of fabrics. At William Clark & Sons, it is crucial for ensuring that fabrics have consistent dimensions, a smooth surface, and the desired appearance.
HELPING TO CREATE THE PERFECT FULLY FINISHED FABRIC
We process fabric which is passed through a trough of the chemical formula with the application weight carefully controlled by the pad mangle. Then fabric passes through our Bianco weft straightener to ensure weft straightness. Finally through our stenter machine over a temperature curve which is carefully monitored to ensure optimum conditions are met to cure the material and activate the finishing chemicals.
Performing treatments such as water and stain repellence, flame retardancy, anti-microbial and handle enhancement. We use our in house experience and knowledge married with our extensive range of partnerships in the chemical sector to create bespoke finishes and treatments to fit your requirements.
In house lab facilities mean we can refine and test formulas quickly without loss of materials to progress developments at speed.
