Beetled Linen Buckrams & Hollands
Has been favoured by tailors for 150 years to produce a clean soft finish in the final garment. Is ideal for stay tapes due to its soft handle, slim profile, total thread coverage and stability achieved by our traditional beetled finish.

Soft Linen Padding
Is used where additional thickness is required without stiffness, such as cover for padding stitches in the lapel area.

Prussian Collar Interlining
Is the traditional choice for ceremonial uniforms. A fine buckram made from a blend of cotton and linen, that has been double bonded to give stability.

Economy Range
For users for whom price is all important,our collection contains several qualities of canvas, ducks and hollands in cotton and also mixed fibres, to give stability with a softer handle. The range also includes domettes, cotton pocketing, tie linings and fully washable.

Interlining Range
Quality products for bespoke tailoring, dimensionally stable to steam and dry clean…. Not recommended for washable garments.

The Shrunk Duck Collection
Is the ideal foundation for men's and women's tailoring where discreet interlining is required. Available in the standard soft finish, or a firmer finish if required. A controlled shrinkage to a maximum of 2% is the standard.

William Clark's unique finish is achieved by beetling, a 250 year old process. The mechanism for this was originally powered by water wheel, and today the river Clady that runs through Upperlands still provides power via a water turbine. Woven linen canvas is fed onto beams by skilled craftsmen,and is pounded by wooden baulks until the desired smooth and glossy finish is achieved.
