Material is visually inspected for faults.

At end of scouring cycle material is assessed for presence of size and the materials wettability.

At end of specified dying cycle material is assessed for shade by comparing a cutting to a cutting from standard at same point in the process.

If shade is not acceptable adjustments would be made to improve to match standard.

Once the dye house manager is satisfied with the shade and appearance he will authorise unloading of the jig.

Cuttings are stored for future reference.

Material is visually inspected as it passes through the machine with operator comments being recorded on the works order record sheet.
